Executive Officers
President
Leilani Lee (she/her)
Major: Biomedical Engineering
Graduation Date: May 2028
As President, I oversee the wellbeing of the section and spread SWE's mission in the College of Engineering and beyond. I regularly communicate with company representatives to forge new relationships and secure sponsorships, as well as represent our section with national SWE correspondence, in order to provide our members with a variety of perspectives and opportunities. Furthermore, I support the entire officer board to pilot fresh ideas, optimize existing initiatives, and organize events for the general body.
Outside of SWE, I do undergraduate research with the Assistive Robotics Lab (ARL). In my free time I like to go on coffee runs, cook, bake, play piano, and go to concerts.

Internal Vice President
Mianna Ly (she/her)
Major: Industrial and Systems Engineering
Minor: Finance
Graduation Date: May 2029
As Internal Vice President, I am responsible for organizing and hosting General Body Meetings, professional development events, and company socials. I work closely with the External Vice President to connect company representatives with our members to establish meaningful engagement. I also support the Executive Board and fellow officers in their responsibilities.
Outside of SWE, I am a part of The Consulting Group, the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineering, and the STEM sorority Alpha Omega Epsilon. In my free time, I enjoy playing volleyball, trying new foods, listening to music, and staying active with my friends.

Ananya Madaan (she/her)
Major: Industrial and Systems Engineering
Minor: Finance, Spanish

As External Vice President, I organize professional events with our company sponsors. I'm responsible for hosting all Professional Development events and Company Socials. I work closely with company representatives, the officer board, and our members!
Outside of SWE, I'm part of the Honors College, the Institute for Industrial and Systems Engineers, and an active member of Alpha Omega Epsilon. In my free time, I enjoy trying new foods, traveling, and playing volleyball.

Secretary
Brooke Weaver (she/her)
Major: Civil Engineering
Minor: Green Engineering, Ecological Cities, Geographic Information Systems, and Landscape Architecture

As Secretary, I send out weekly newsletters to keep our members up to date about what our section is doing, community events, and all of the amazing opportunities available to you as members of SWE! I am also going to be planning group exercise sessions at the gyms on campus, so you should keep an eye out for those if you are interested!

Treasurer
Haile Mistry (she/her)
Major: Chemical Engineering
Graduation Date: May 2028
As Treasurer, I am responsible for the collection, distribution, and safekeeping of the section's funds. I also prepare and maintain our financial reports and budgets to ensure we have the financial strength to create opportunities for more students in our section.
Outside of SWE, I'm involved in undergraduate research and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE). In my free time, I love traveling, hiking, and trying new recipes. Please reach out if you have any questions!

CAMEO Liaison
Yoshita Papasani (she/her)
Major: Computer Engineering with a focus in Chip-Scale Integration
Graduation Date: May 2027
As CAMEO Liaison, I work with other students representing the Council for the Advancement of Multi-disciplinary Engineering Organizations to plan collaborative events and organize the CAMEO CareerFest in February.

Community Outreach Chair
Florence Poulin (she/her)
Major: Biological Systems Engineering

My job as Community Outreach Chair is to plan events that involve giving back to the community. I help coordinate events such as Gobblerfest, The Big Event, Relay for Life, and Women's Preview Weekend. I also plan volunteer-based events such as Post Game Clean Up and Blanket Making to help give back to the community and local charities and organizations.

Conference Chair
Emily Sandt (she/her)
Major: Civil Engineering

As conference chair, I am responsible for planning our group's trip to the annual national SWE conference. More specifically, my roles include, booking hotels, going over applications, hosting logistics meetings, and coordinating travel plans for our members!
Outside of SWE, I am involved in the Student Engineers' Council, the STEM sorority, Alpha Omega Epsilon, American Society of Civil Engineers, the College of Engineering's Dean's Team, and the Civil and Environmental Engineering Ambassadors. In my free time, I love painting, binging shows, playing board games, golfing, or jumping to Enter Sandman at Hokie football games!

Educational Outreach Chair

As the Education Outreach Committee Chair I am looking forwards to planning events with local K-12 schools and other educational programs across the New River Valley region. I am excited to promote women going into the field of engineering.

Evening with the Industries Chair
Tylen Jaeger (she/her)
Major: Mechanical Engineering

As the Evening With the Industries Chair for SWE, I oversee the planning and execution of SWE’s annual Evening With the Industries event. Held the week before the CAMEO Career Fest, this event provides a focused networking opportunity for company representatives and SWE/CAMEO members to connect in a more personal, relationship‑building environment. I’m excited to create a welcoming space where our SWEsters can build confidence, make meaningful industry connections, and kick off career‑fest season feeling supported and prepared.
Outside of SWE, I stay involved across campus through several organizations. I serve as the Hospitality Chair for Alpha Omega Epsilon, where I help foster community and support within the chapter. I’m also the Publicity Chair for the Student Engineers’ Council (SEC), working to promote events, initiatives, and student engagement.
Additionally, I participate in TPED and FASA, which keep me connected to broader engineering and cultural communities at Virginia Tech. When I’m not in meetings or planning events, you can usually find me reading, baking, or spending time outdoors whenever possible. These are the things that help me recharge and bring fresh energy back into everything I’m involved in.

As graduate liaison, I am responsible for growing and fostering a community for graduate SWE members. I also work with other CEED organizations to create larger events, both social and professional, that are catered towards graduate students. Outside of SWE, I am also involved in Baja SAE. In my free time, I enjoy bouldering, snowboarding, and gaming!

As Publicity Chair, I am responsible for managing our SWE social medias to showcase our many events throughout the year! I aim to highlight the amazing members of our SWE community as well as foster connection through engaging posts on our Instagram, @swe_vt!
Outside of SWE, I am involved in Astrobotics, High Altitude Ballooning , and Girls Who Code. In my free time, I enjoy reading and hanging out with my friends!

SEC Chair
Arshiya Sabaa (she/her)
Major: Computer Science
Minor: Data and Decisions
Graduation Date: May 2027
As SEC Representative, my main job is keeping our section fully funded and eligible for cool events we host! My duties include filling out our semesterly SEC funding applications, tracking our budgets, and chasing down officer receipts so everything gets reimbursed. I also act as our official liaison to the Student Engineering Council, which means attending GAMs and organizing our volunteer sign-ups for Engineering Expo and E-Week.
Outside of SWE I am involved in Exodus, MSA, and AMV. In my free time I work on fun projects, dance, read, play recreational sports, hang out with friends, and play videogames. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or if you just want to talk about computer science!

Social Committee Chair
Alena Arnold (she/her)

As social chair, I am in charge of planning and hosting various social events to foster community within the organization. Events occur throughout the year and vary in activity and theme! I hope to host events that respond to feedback so everyone enjoys and the bonds between members are strengthened.
Outside of SWE, I am part of Alpha Omega Epsilon, Archimedes, and BCM, a campus ministry. In my freetime, I enjoy playing tennis, baking, music, reading, and being outside with friends and family.
